Modules Taken:

Pursuing a Diploma in Early Childhood Education at Ngee Ann Polytechnic, I went through modules that help me to equip the different skills and knowledge that I needed to be an early childhood educator.

The modules include but are not limited to:

• Creative Arts for Young Children

• Learning Environment and Classroom Management

• Mathematics for Young Children

• Introduction to Children's Literature

 

I learnt about various classroom management skills as well as teaching techniques. For example, different classroom management skills and the appropriate use of teaching techniques. With this acquired knowledge, I was able to apply it through my practicum. This allowed me to manage the class better as well as build a positive rapport with the children.

As the module representative, my responsibility is to liaise and communicate with my lecturers and my classmates. Some of my responsibilities include collating questions asked by my classmates to my lecturers and being the point of contact between my lecturers and classmates.
