Digital Teaching Portfolio
As part of a group assignment for Teaching Techniques for Preschool Education, we were required to come up with a digital teaching portfolio. This portfolio showcases different teaching techniques (e.g. facilitation, documentation, demonstration and co-constructing) into different lessons. This digital portfolio's main target is novice teachers and was done on Wix.com.
Through this assignment, I learnt how to communicate with my group members. Since I was in charge of designing the website, I had to ensure that we agreed on a layout and overall design for the website. This was done through Skype.
Looking back on this portfolio, my group and I managed to put our message across. Since the main target group is teachers, we were able to use jargons to explain the rationale. One thing that we can improve on is adding more visual documentation to the website.

Drama Lesson Rationale Video
For the module, Drama for Socio-Emotional Learning for Children, I was tasked to explain the rationale behind my drama lesson through a video. This video was edited on Vllo and Adobe Premiere Pro.
Through this assignment, I learnt how to be creative in explaining my rationale. Since the assignment is in a video format, I have to find a way to express myself while explaining my rationale behind my choices. On top of that, I also learn how to manage my time. From planning the video to editing, a lot of hours were used. To tackle this, I jot down in my planner the tasks and made sure I set a deadline for each task so that I am not behind my schedule.
