Samples of Work
(Year 2: April 2019 - February 2020)
Art Newsletter
For my second practicum, I was required to do up a reflection of my Art lesson in the form of a newsletter. I used the application, Pages, to create the newsletter.
Looking back on this newsletter, I realise that the paragraphs are too wordy. On top of that, I could have added more visuals to the newsletter. This is something I would learn from to improve my creative skills.

Brochure on Separation Anxiety
For the module, Infant and Toddler Learning Environment, I was tasked to create a tri-fold brochure to inform parents about separation anxiety and strategies to curb it. The brochure was created on the application, Pages.
I think I was able to phrase my explanation in a clear manner where parents would be able to understand if they were to read the brochure. However, I could have included other resources such as websites so that parents are able to better understand separation anxiety.

Brochure on Visual Impairment
For the module, Psychology of Exceptional Children, I was required to create a brochure informing parents about creating a positive learning environment for visually impaired children. This brochure was created on Pages.
Looking back on this brochure, I would definitely change the colour palette of the brochure into more neutral colours. I would also make my sentences more simple and clear as the main target for this brochure are parents. I would also add more visual images to the brochure. This would be my learning curve and I aim to be more mindful of the design choices I make.

Classroom Management Strategies Video
My group and I were required to produce a video about different scenarios and state the strategies to curb the behaviours. This is for the module, Learning Environment and Classroom Management. The video is edited on the software, Adobe Premiere Pro.
Through this assignment, I learnt how to come up with the appropriate strategies for different misbehaviours. These strategies came in handy during my practicum. I also found myself frequently communicating with my groupmates when editing the video. We discussed the flow of the video as well as the distribution of the voiceovers.

WebQuest
My group and I were required to create and design a WebQuest for the module, Environmental and Social Awareness in Children. The WebQuest was created on Google Slides. Our main topic for the WebQuest is Parts of a Plant for Kindergarten 2 children (5-6 years old). This was created on Google Slides.
This module taught me that we can incorporate technology into children's learning. When finding resources to be used in the WebQuest, it is important for us to take note whether it is developmentally appropriate for the children. We also had to make sure the WebQuest is user friendly. We also included an evaluation table where children will be able to evaluate their own work.
Creating a WebQuest is something I would like to implement for my future class. Implementing WebQuest aligns with my teaching philosophy as children will be able to learn at their own pace. As an educator, I will also be able to facilitate children when they are doing activities.

Infographics
I was tasked to create two infographics for the module, Developing School-Family-Community Partnership. These infographics were created on Canva.
Looking back on these infographics, I would have included more visual images to make it more attractive. I would also rephrase my sentences into short and concise. I would also change the colours into something more neutral to make it easier to read.
